This Tikal Day Tour is a full-day tour that takes you across our country of Belize into Guatemala to see a spectacular Mayan site.
Itineraries
Morning Pickup
Pickup From Your Hotel
Your day starts with a complimentary pick up from your hotel. Pick up time from your Hotel in San Pedro will depend on where your hotel is located, but usually, it is around 5:00 am. Once picked up from your hotel we will drive into town and get breakfast at Lily's Treasure Chest.
Travel to Belize City
Time : 6:00 am
Water Taxi Boat Ride
You will start your journey at 6:00 am with a very nice and beautiful 1-hour boat ride through some of Belize's Cayes. Be ready for a breathtaking sunrise. The boat ride is about 1-1/2 hours long. Your boat will dock in Belize City.
Drive to Belize's Western Border
On Board a Private Vehicle
From Belize City, you will then get into one of our private vans and your tour guide will drive you to the Western border for 1 hour 45 minutes. Crossing the country of Belize you will get to see and learn a lot about our villages, Mayan cities, people, history and much more.
Belizean / Guatemalan Border
Immigration
Once you reach the border your tour guide will help you to get your passport stamped, pay the departure tax and get money changed.
Guatemala
Drive To Tikal National Park
Once across the border, you will then meet your Guatemalan tour guide and then drive for 1 hour and 30-minute in a private van to the Tikal National Park. While you driving to Tikal you will also have your Guatemalan tour guide pointing out things of interest and giving you general information of Guatemala’s Mayan history.
Explore the Tikal Mayan Ruins
Now The Fun Begins
At Tikal National Park, you will get a private 3hr 30min Tour! Your private tour guide will walk you back to history and you climb some over 2,000-year-old temples and also enjoy plenty of wild life.
Lunch Time
Nourishment After Tikal Tour
After you are finished with your tour, you will be very hungry, so your tour guide will pick up some lunch from a traditional Guatemala Comedor located inside of the Tikal National Park and take it to go since we have to travel back home.
Head Back Home
Back To Belize City
The same way you got to Tikal you will return to Belize City. On your private vehicle you will drive 1hr 30 minutes back to the Belize / Guatemala Border, 1hr 45minutes from the border to Belize City
Travel to Ambergris Caye
Time : 4:30 pm
Water Taxi Boat Ride
You will board a boat with San Pedro Belize Water Taxi to go back to Ambergris Caye. The ride takes 1-1/2 hours.
