Cave Tubing in Belize by boat starts your day very early, for you will have to travel by sea to the mainland and then travel by land to the cave system.
We are flexible with jungle tours of 1 activity. We can stay back a while longer if visitors want, as we are not in a rush to do other jungle tours. We can accommodate you on a later boat ride if necessary to travel back home to Ambergris Caye.
Itineraries
Morning Pickup
Time : 5:00 am
Pickup From Your Hotel
Cave Tubing starts with a complimentary pick up from your hotel. Pick up time from your Hotel in San Pedro will depend on where your hotel is located, but usually, it is around 5:00 am. Once picked up from your hotel we will drive into town and visit a Belizean deli, Ruby's, where you can get breakfast.
Travel to Belize City
Time : 6:00 am
Water Taxi Boat Ride
At 6:00 am, you will board a boat with San Pedro Belize Water Taxi that takes you to Belize City. The boat ride takes 1-1/2 hours.
Drive to Cave Tubing
On Board a Private Vehicle
Upon reaching Belize City, you will board a private vehicle and drive to the river cave system where you will take on the amazing adventure of cave tubing. The trip takes about 1 hour.
Time for Cave Tubing
Time : 9:00 am
Now The Fun Begins
You will reach your destination at about 9:00 am. We will then start by fitting our gears and take a 20-25 minute easy walk up to the cave entrance, you can have a little swim before going into the cave if you wish! Once at the entrance of the cave, your tour guides will tie the tubes together and float you into the cave. There you will enjoy seeing the stalagmites and stalactites formations and learn about Xibalba (The Mayan Underground). After you exit the cave system, you may float freely down the river. You will be cave tubing for about 2 - 2-1/2 hours.
Lunch Time
Nourishment After Tubing
After being in the river and tubing through the caves, you will need nourishment. Lunch will be served Belizean style. Let us know if you have a different diet.
Head Back Home
Go Back to Belize City on Private Vehicle
After having lunch, we will start heading back home. You will board your private vehicle and head to Belize City to catch your boat back to Ambergris Caye. Drive usually takes 1 hour.
Travel To Ambergris Caye
Time : 12:30 pm
Water Taxi Boat Ride
You will board a boat with San Pedro Belize Water Taxi to go back to Ambergris Caye. The ride takes 1-1/2 hours.
